The Sayre & Fisher Brick Company (1850 – 1970) once served as the largest brick manufacturer in the United States and was formerly located on River Road adjacent to the Raritan River, Borough of Sayreville, Middlesex County, New Jersey.

Neptune Regional Transmission System, LLC is the developer, owner, and operator of a 65-mile-long, 660 megawatt undersea and underground electric high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission cable connecting New Jersey and Long Island via two converter stations, one of which is located in the Borough of Sayreville, New Jersey on the land formerly occupied by the Sayre & Fisher Brick Company.
